The Beach
Cruiser Meet is an annual event in Huntington
Beach. The event grew out of the Wavecrest Woodie Show in
Encinitas. A lot of fine 50's and 60's era cars were seen
parked on the side streets and organizers decided it'd be
great if they could include all of those cool cars as well.
So as one of the organizers says in the video, "anything
that you hauled your babe, your board or your friends to
the beach in is a beach cruiser" and welcome at the
meet. This is being used as a public relations and marketing
piece to promote city events. This video program is distributed
on DVD, the web and broadcast on HBTV-3. The project was shot in
standard definition DV, digital video. Dynamic Digital Pictures
in Fullerton wrote the script and
handled all video production, editing and graphics. The video
graphics were created in photoshop with a custom animated
lower third title banner consisting of a surfboard and a
woodie. The woodie is also used as a transitional element.
